Pierre Maré is a qualified forester and has a long career and history in this arena. He has significant knowledge of forestry practices and has worked in sales and marketing, harvesting, silviculture and road construction. Pierre was the regional manager for Elders Forestry in North Queensland with the responsibility of managing their high value timber products of Teak (Tectona grandis), Red Mahogany (Eucalyptus pellita) and Indian Sandalwood (Santana album) for the region.

 

Over the course of his career, Pierre has gained significant exposure to Softwood and Hardwood forest management practices. Pierre’s harvesting exposure and knowledge includes the use of mules, highlead and Skyline harvesting, manual and fully mechanised systems. This knowledge provides a strong foundation for assisting organisations improve their forestry practices and with a strong fiscal understanding, is able to transform operational improvements into tangible cost saving opportunities is significant.
